Relationship Course

Ffion was back delivering her relationship courses at Oxford house yesterday, and it was great to see everyone again after our Easter break. We spoke about the word ‘no’, and the different ways you can say no to someone. We also spoke about personal space. The next session will be on Monday 14th April from 10am-11am, when we will be talking about sex education, safe sex, and pornography. Relationship Course

On Monday Ffion delivered her Relationship Course to the learners at Oxford House. The topic was ‘Understanding your Body’, and we talked about the difference between Male and Females bodies, and played a game in which we came up with different names for private parts. The group will resume on Monday 8th April and the other dates are:

Monday 15th April
Monday 22nd April
Monday 13th May
Monday 20th May

Relationship Course

On Monday 15th January Ffion Poole delivered her relationship course to the learners at Oxford House Community Education Centre in Risca. We spoke about what makes a good and bad friend, and how to make friends. It was lovely to see faces old and new, and our next session will be held on Monday 22nd January when we will continue to talk about friendships. Relationship Course

Yesterday, Ffion Poole – supported by Christy Taylor – visited the Newport People First offices to deliver the second workshop of her relationship course. She spoke about relationships, how to meet people, and what makes a good or bad boyfriend/girlfriend. She also gave the group scenarios and asked if they pointed towards a healthy or unhealthy relationship. Ffion is looking forward to providing the third part of the course to the group.

Relationships and Sexuality Course

Caerphilly People First recently held the first session in our Relationships and Sexuality course.  This was run by Ffion and Lisa from Innovate Trust.  During the session the group discussed what is sex, keeping yourself and others safe, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, consent, and different types of contraception.  Even though this can be a very sensitive topic, everyone joined in, and there was much laughter from the group.  If anyone would like Ffion to provide a relationship course, please get in touch with her on 07488350518 or ffion@caerphillypeoplefirst.org

Relationship Course

Thanks to everyone – including Joe Powell, Chief Executive of All Wales People First – who attended our recent relationship course, which was designed by Ffion and Lisa French from Insight.  The group talked about what makes a good relationship, what makes a bad relationship, and the warning signs of a bad relationship.  They also discussed how to make friends, and how to deal with falling out with friends.  The session finished with a ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ relationship quiz designed by Vale People 1st.  At the next session on 25th August we will be talking about identity and LGBTQ issues.  Everyone is welcome to join us then.
