Message from the Chair – Jamie Roberts
Over the past few weeks, Caerphilly People First members have shown the Adviser of Blaenau Gwent People First around the various day opportunities centres in Caerphilly. These include the work projects in Woodfieldside and Windy Ridge, and Springfield. The Adviser stated that she was very impressed with the opportunities that people with learning disabilities have in Caerphilly. We think this is great news—a person who works outside Caerphilly has seen the good work that goes on here in comparison with Blaenau Gwent .

Here is a new and different version of the Caerphilly People First logo. We made it using clay figures and a technique called stop-motion animation. E-newsletter Training
Following on from the website training we did on 19th July, last week we took part in training on how to send newsletters by email. Thanks to Angharad and James from Communities 2.0 for providing the training; we have one more session with them in a couple of weeks and we’re all looking forward to it!
Pan Gwent People First Planning Event
We’re busy preparing for the Pan Gwent People First event tomorrow. We’re hoping for a big crowd and to meet old and new friends.
The event is to make a plan for Pan Gwent People First. Everyone can give their ideas and we’ll be telling our ideas. We hope everyone enjoys the day.
